The North American Charging Standard (NACS) is used at Tesla Superchargers. The MINI charge port uses CCS (Combined Charging System) which is not compatible with NACS unless an adapter is used.
Not all Tesla Superchargers are compatible with non-Tesla vehicles; certain older or restricted stations only support Tesla models. Not sure if a Tesla Supercharger is compatible? Your vehicle’s navigation map and the MINI App will only show compatible Tesla Superchargers. If you are in front of a Tesla Supercharger that does not appear in your app or navigation, it is a Tesla-only site.
